All DogWatch Hidden Fences incorporate a new, higher efficiency 18 volt switching power supply. The new power supply weighs only 4.8 oz and has a regulated 18-volt output that is not affected by fluctuations in line voltage.
It incorporates input and output protection that will automatically reset in case of short circuit, sudden surge, or power overload.
And… it uses less energy! The new power supply complies with California Energy Commission specifications and with upcoming Department of Energy requirements - it also meets the Environmental Protection Agency’s ‘Energy Star’ standards!

DogWatch Hidden Fences are lead-free and compliant with the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) initiative — a European-based initiative to reduce the amount of lead and other hazardous metals in consumer electronic products. Great news for our dogs as well as our landfills.
Power Usage
DogWatch transmitters use only 9 Watts of power to produce the outside signal....about the same energy usage as a nightlight and leading the industry in low power consumption.
